Grade & Surface finish guidelines for tubes.
Pharmaceutical tubing require stringent specifications to meet the high standards of cleanliness, corrosion resistance, and smooth surface finish necessary for these critical applications. Below are the detailed guidelines for grades and surface finishes for pharmaceutical tubes:
- SS 316 L is used when ozone is used in disinfection system.
- 304 L is resistance to crevice and pitting type corrosion when chloride concentration is up to 500 mg/l with free chlorine concentration up to 5 mg/ltr at room temp. if temp > 50 degC then use SS 316 L
