Given That,
- Required Ozone concentration to be maintained in the Ozonation tank: 0.1 ppm
- Tank incoming flow rate: 6 m3/hr
- Assume Solubility of ozone: 20%
Calculate ozone capacity required
Following are the steps for selection of Ozone Generator
Water to be treated with Ozone per hour = 6 m3 / hr……………………………………..(1)
Ozone required to maintain 0.1 ppm concentration
= Ozone Dosage X Flow Rate
= 0.1 X 6
=0.6 Gram ……………………………………………………………………………………………………(2)
But solubility of ozone is 20 %
So total Ozone required to maintain 0.1 ppm in tank is
= (0.6 X 100)/20
=3 Gram
3 Gram Ozone required to maintain 0.1 ppm Ozonation in tank ……………………………(3)
